Just placed my first order with an Atlanta Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Farm!

Moore Farms and Friends - Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) in Atlanta Georgia

On Sunday evening, I registered and placed my first order with Moore Farms and Friends, an Atlanta and Georgia Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. This is something that I’ve been researching for a while now, so we’ll see how it goes!

Here’s how this CSA works:

  1. Over the weekend, you go online and order a basket of produce from the farm. You have a couple of choices…
  2. For $20, you can let the farm assemble a basket for you with a variety of everything that’s in season.
  3. For $25, you can customize your basket (with certain requirements).
  4. Then the basket will be delivered later in the week to a location of your choice (in this case, Sawicki’s grocery in downtown Decatur)

Two friends and I have gone in on this subscription together and we pick up our first order later this week, so I’ll let you know how it goes? Do you use a CSA in Atlanta or Decatur? or in your hometown? How has the experience been for you?
