Atlanta’s temporary public art project, Art on the BeltLine, needs your help with clean ups this weekend!

Art on the BeltLine needs your help on May 1st and 2nd in clearing and preparing artists’ installation sites on trails on the east and west sides of Atlanta! In addition to clearing artists’ specific sites, we will also pick up general trash as we prepare to launch temporary public art projects in June and to introduce people to newly opened sections of the BeltLine.

Even your Christmas tree can give back during the “Bring One for the Chipper” program from Keep Atlanta Beautiful!

Recycle your Atlanta Christmas tree into mulch with Keep Atlanta Beautiful’s “Bring One for the Chipper” program in 2010! You can also request a pile of free mulch generated form all of the recycled trees.

Volunteers needed for Race 2 Recycle in Piedmont Park!

Volunteer with Keep Atlanta Beautiful’s Race 2 Recycle in Piedmont Park and receive a free organic cotton race t-shirt! Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, registration, timing on the finish line and passing out water to runners.

Enjoy the outdoors and the sights and sounds of Midtown Atlanta in this 5k and 1 mile fun run around beautiful Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta.

Major progress made during Atlanta BeltLine Earth Day clean-up

The BeltLine’s Earth Day Clean-Up 2009 was a huge success, cleaning up the tracks and trail from DeKalb Avenue in Inman Park to the Freedom Park Bridge near the Highlands!
